Premium Gear for People Who Give a Damn
We're not interested in gear that looks good on a hanger and falls apart after a season. Every Iron & Velvet piece is built to be worn, washed, and still look like you mean it. We work with designers from around the world, listen closely to the people who actually wear our stuff, and sweat the details that most brands skip — fit, fabric, finish. The designs are bold because we believe what you wear says something about how you move through the world.
Fits Right From the First Wear
A lot of brands get the look right and blow the fit. We care about both. Our apparel is pre-washed before it reaches you, so what you see is what you get. No surprises after the first trip through the laundry.
Built From Materials Worth Wearing
We choose fabrics that feel good on your body and get better with time, not worse. Construction matters too. We take into account construction, fabric weight, and the way a piece wears and moves. These are details you'll notice the first time you pull something on and think, "yeah, that's it."
Designs With Something to Say
Our graphics don't come from a stock library. We collaborate with designers from around the globe to create artwork that's distinctly Iron & Velvet. Our designs are intentionally bold.
FAQs
We work with designers from around the world to build artwork that's uniquely Iron & Velvet. Designs are inspired by our community — the people actually wearing the gear — and we push every designer to bring their own perspective to the table. The result is a collection that doesn't look like anyone else's.
Every apparel product has a size guide available, and we recommend using it before you order. A lot of our pieces are unisex, so pay attention to the measurements rather than defaulting to your usual size. If you're petite, size down on unisex styles. Our products are also pre-shrunk, so the size you order is the size you keep.
Our team wears Iron & Velvet gear in real life and treats customer feedback like a design tool. We also have a brick-and-mortar store in Leavenworth, WA, where we hear directly from customers about fit, color, feel, and what they want to see next. All of this feedback helps us continually improve and produce kick-ass products.
Yes, and the pre-washing process is a big part of why. Because our apparel is pre-washed before it ships, there's no guesswork about shrinkage after your first wash. Note that many of our products have unisex sizing. Use the size guide on each product page and you'll be in good shape.
Care instructions are listed on each product. Generally, cold wash and hang dry will keep your gear looking its best the longest. The pre-washing process takes care of the initial shrinkage, but excessive heat over time is tough on any fabric.
